The name might sound a little formal, but in reality, it’s simply our Annual General Meeting – a chance for us to look back at the past year, share what we’ve achieved together, and plan for what comes next. Think of it as a yearly check-in with the whole Welcoming community, where the serious stuff (like reports and governance) meets the heart of our work (celebrating people, stories, and successes).
Why does it matter?
For us at The Welcoming Association, the AGM isn’t just a date on the calendar. It’s about being open and transparent with our community – our members, volunteers, partners, and supporters.
This is the moment where we say: here’s what we’ve done, here’s the impact it’s had, and here’s where we’re going next.
It’s also a chance to shine a light on the contributions that make The Welcoming what it is – from volunteers giving their time, to participants sharing their skills, to staff delivering programmes that support New Scots every single day.
