The Welcoming offers focused ESOL writing workshops to help people feel more confident when applying for jobs.
Our Cover Letter and Personal Statement Writing Workshop supports participants to introduce themselves clearly to employers and present their skills, experience and strengths in a professional way.
Who is it for?
These workshops are open to learners with intermediate (B1) English level or above.
They are designed for people who would like to improve their written applications and better understand what employers are looking for.
What participants learn
During the workshop, participants explore:
- How to write a strong profile statement
- Why a cover letter is important
- What information to include in a cover letter or personal statement
- How to structure writing clearly and effectively
- Practical tips to improve confidence and clarity
Workshops usually run over two sessions and are delivered in small groups to allow time for guidance and feedback.
