We’re excited to share the latest edition of our newsletter, filled with highlights, updates, and stories from across The Welcoming Association community.
In this issue, we reflect on some of the key moments from the past few months – from welcoming global leaders to celebrating personal achievements within our New Scots community.
Here are just a few things you’ll find inside:
- A historic visit from the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi, who joined us at The Welcoming to meet staff, service users, and partners, recognising Scotland’s unique approach to refugee integration.
- A look at the impact of our GROW employability programme, which supported 92 New Scots parents to build confidence, explore work and study opportunities, and take meaningful steps towards their goals.
- Back to the Botanics – our gardening group has returned to the Royal Botanic Garden for a new season of growing, learning, and connection.
- We’ve launched a new Digital Skills course to support New Scots with little or no experience using computers – helping to tackle digital exclusion in our community.
- Plus, updates on creative projects, community workshops, volunteer contributions, and much more.
