Volunteers are the backbone of The Welcoming
The Welcoming celebrates the contributions of over sixty volunteers who support asylum seekers, refugees and migrants in Edinburgh. Volunteers of The Welcoming gave over 2,400 hours to the charity in the past year, a contribution equal to more than £40,000.
The Welcoming’s 2024 Public Holidays and Service Breaks
The Welcoming will be closed for the following public holidays and service breaks throughout 2024. Public Holidays On public holidays, there will be no activities or classes. The office will be closed and staff will not be contactable. Service Breaks

Health and Wellbeing at The Welcoming – Announcement
The Welcoming’s health and wellbeing activities for New Scots will restart this month. Our programme supports New Scots (asylum seekers, refugees and migrants) in Edinburgh to look after their physical and mental health, and feel empowered to make personal wellbeing choices.
