Cycling for Newcomers Cycling for Newcomers is a free group for anyone who loves cycling, or who wants to give it a go in Edinburgh. Cycling is a great way to explore a new city, commute to work, or meet new people. We have a range of different activities, from group cycle trips, advice on buying bikes, repairing bikes, and planning routes. It is a fun way to practice your English whilst getting some exercise and fresh air!

We have a cycle trip on the last Monday of every month. We meet at 1pm at The Welcoming. For these trips you will need to have your own bike, or be able to borrow one from a friend. When possible we also have some led bike rides with partner organisations who provide bikes, but these will be advertised separately. There is a cycling WhatsApp group, which is managed by Bikes for Refugees – if you are interested in being added to this group to plan bike rides or find out what is happening around Edinburgh, please email [email protected]
