We offer a variety of health and wellbeing activities for asylum seekers, refugees and migrants in Edinburgh.

Our aim is to support New Scots to feel healthier, happier, and more confident.

Current activities

Wellbeing Space

A relaxed space where you can meet new people, drink tea and coffee and have a chat.

Walk Together

A gentle walk around Edinburgh with new people. Bring a waterproof jacket and water.

  • Starting: Friday 23rd September
  • Friday (9.30am-11am)

Women Only Swimming Group

Enjoy a quiet swim with other women. You can meet new people, practise English and exercise.

These sessions are for women only.

Where and when

  • Starting: Friday 30th September
  • Friday (1.15pm – 2pm)
  • Swimming pool at Royal High School, East Barnton Avenue, Edinburgh EH4 6AQ

Please do not attend unless you have booked a space. We only have 20 spaces available per swimming session.

Women and Children Only Swimming Group

These sessions are for women and children only.

Please do not attend unless you have booked a space. We only have 20 spaces available per swimming session. Please only register yourself and a maximum of 2 children.

Cycling Group

We will start more Cycling Groups soon. If you want to cycle, please email [email protected] to discuss cycling sessions.

Table Tennis Group

We will start a weekly Table Tennis Group soon. If you would like to take part, please email [email protected] to be added to the WhatsApp group.

This session will require weekly sign-up and will be open to 16 people each session.

Jogging Group

We will start a weekly jogging group in October. Beginners welcome. If you would like to take part, please email [email protected] to be added to the WhatsApp group.

This session will run as a drop-in.

Art Sessions for Mental Health

We will start an art group in October. This group will be for participants who have fled conflict, experienced trauma or persecution in their own country, and would benefit from a safe and creative space to enjoy being with others.
