Corona Virus and Health – Multilinguistic
UK Government have released translated guidance for self-isolation and social distancing into the following languages: Arabic, Bengali, Cantonese, French, Gujarati, Mandarin, Polish, Portuguese, Punjabi, Urdu and Welsh. 1)
Doctors of the World have also provided Corona Virus guidance in a variety of languages, and they will continue to update these.
Mental Health Support for Participants in Edinburgh
Health in Mind has started delivering various online mental health support sessions, details could be found on their website.
Dr Rahila Khalid of Health in Mind is starting Equal Access online group support sessions every Tuesday from 31st March from 11am – 1.00pm, where people from various ethnic communities can learn about stress management and coping skills for various mental health challenges. Various ethnic groups will are involved to identify their language needs so they can get the necessary language support during the online sessions.
