On Saturday 6th October we gathered together at Bridgend Farmhouse with some of the local Syrian community and our participants to celebrate Scottish Climate week 2018. The event was a great opportunity for us to share our climate change work with others, and to invite partner organisations and participants to celebrate our project so far. We were incredibly lucky to have a sunny autumnal day for the event, allowing us to make the most of the fantastic location at Bridgend Farmhouse. We had a variety of activities including bike maintenance workshops, face painting, music and cookery demonstrations using vegetables that have been grown in our own Sustainable Garden. We are grateful to everyone who came along and helped us celebrate the day. Thanks also to our volunteers, partners and funders, and a very special thank you to the young Syrian musicians Qusay and Hadi who provided fantastic music for the event.
